I had been going to the shows to update my knowledge of what was currently winning and what they are producing. I was looking for a line to restart my hobby of raising and showing dogs. Shasta is from the Edlen line which goes back to the Sea Isle lines that my original line of shelties came from back in the 1970's. As she grew, I traveled to the shows with Cheryl Weeden handling her male Edlen Charming Billy to his championship, winning a five point specialty major with him along the way, and watching what studs were producing that would compliment Shasta. After careful observance of what the current top sires were producing in their get, Shasta was bred to Ch. Jade Mist Memorandum ROM, ROMC.
